About the Writer

Hi, my name is Darci.  I love my family and I am passionate about making a home for them which is why I am writing this food blog. As a child I saw my parents demonstrate hospitality as they invited friends and family into their home to share a meal.  The torch has now been passed to the next generation.   Hopefully, I can impart something useful to you, perhaps a thought, a great recipe or a funny story that reminds you of your family.  This blog is a way of inviting you into my home and extending hospitality to you.

I’d love to hear some of your thoughts, funny stories and anything else you might like to share. So please leave comments.

Great info on the quail eggs, I think I might try them. You are very inventive and the garnish looks great!

I’m very impressed with the recipes – my husband is ‘Mr. Pancake” as well. Infact, we bought him a pancake cookbook for his birthday!

I will have to try those carmel apples, they look yummy. I love this time of year, with cooking winter types of foods. Such as the carmel apples, pumpkin bread and fudge.

I made a similar recipe with the german pancake and sliced apples. It was really good. I just love this time of year.
